Reconstitution generally refers to the process of adding a liquid (a “diluent”) to a substance supplied in a dried or lyophilized form, in order to return it to a liquid state. The term is used broadly across pharmacy and lab contexts, not just for peptides.
Once a vial has been reconstituted, its concentration depends on the amount of substance and the amount of diluent used.
